15 FOODS FOR A HEALTHY DIET

1. Water

Drink 8 to 12 cups of water daily.

2. Dark Green Vegetables

Eat dark green vegetables at least three to four times a week. Good options include broccoli, peppers, brussel sprouts and leafy greens like kale and spinach.

3. Whole Grains

Eat whole grains sat least two or three times daily. Look for whole wheat flour, rye, oatmeal, barley, amaranth, quinoa or a multigrain. A good source of fiber has 3 to 4 grams of fiber per serving. A great source has 5 or more grams of fiber per serving.

4. Beans and Lentils

Try to eat a bean-based meal at least once a week. Try to add legumes, including beans and lentils, to soups, stews, casseroles, salads and dips or eat them plain.

5. Fish

Try to eat two to three serving of fish a week. A serving consists of 3 to 4 ounces of cooked fish. Good choices are salmon, trout, herring, bluefish, sardines and tuna.

6. Berries

Include two to four servings of fruit in your diet each day. Try to eat berries such as raspberries, blueberries, blackberries and strawberries.

7. Winter Squash

Eat butternut and acorn squash as well as other richly pigmented dark orange and green colored vegetables like sweet potato, cantaloupe and mango.

8.Avacado

Limited evidence suggests eating avocados can help you feel more satisfied after eating and may help prevent weight gain. They may even help improve weight loss, though research on this is limited. Eaten in reasonable amounts, avocados are a health-promoting addition to a weight-loss–friendly diet.

9. Flaxseed, Nuts and Seeds

Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of ground flaxseed or other seeds to food each day or include a moderate amount of nuts – 1/4 cup – in your daily diet.

Eggs are among the most nutritious foods on the planet.They were previously demonized for being high in cholesterol, but new studies show that they’re perfectly safe and healthy

11. Lean beef

MY HEALTHY DAILY ROUTINE

Hy everyone, how are things going with you all?

It’s the weekend, i was up by 8am had a wonderful morning to begin with.

Before i begin talking about how my workouts went, what exercises i practiced today and how the rest of my day went, i will be stating some tips on time management.

I noticed that alott of people neglect working out because they are too busy or can not meet up, so today i will be sharing with you on some really effective tips on how to make that possible:

  • CREATE A SCHEDULE

Fix a time and amount of days you’ll be working out, you can still manage being concistent if you only workout 3 to 4 times a week for just 5 to 10min daily and still be consistent, think about it 10min can’t be too much to spend on something that would improve your health positively

  • FIND A MOTIVATION

Most times it’s not about not having enough time to do this things, its’s just not feeling motivated to and that could lead you into feeling lazy and making up excuses until you loose interest in it, so you need to set a goal what’s your aim, what do u plan on improving in your body? do you want that hot summer body do you want a built body do you want to loose belly fat or do u want to start feeling more active. let that be your motivation and with just enough consistency you’ll be able to get any of the benefits that come with this in a month.

  • AVOID DISTRACTION AND TIME WASTERS:

i’m sure you’re clear with that even without me explaining we all know that one thing, that one unproductive activity we engage in that distracts us

  • GET PLENTY OF SLEEP:

this is a very important aspect that should not be neglected, because this highly determines how the following day would be if you’re not fully rested you will not be able to focus or do things properly, so try get atlist 6hrs sleep daily avoid any unproductive activity that may deprive you of that.

  • FIND A WORKOUT BODY

this could also help give you the motivation you need, for people who find working out alone boring that could be an optin get a friend to join you and help you feel more motivated, you both can help each other be more upright.

NOTE:

most mentioned below may appear difficult but trust me if you’ve been consistent with me on my past blog and actually did all the yoga practice i did for the past few days mentioned on my previous blog, it would be a piece of cake.

Today workout routine include:

PLANK POSE ( position should be maintained for atlist 30 to 40sec)

SCISSORS LEGS (for atlist 30 to 40sec)

SRAIGHT LEGGED SIT-UP ( for atlist 30 to 40sec)

V-SIT HOLD (for about 30 to 40sec)

BOAT POSE (for about 30 to 40sec)

SQUAT (for about 15 to 20times)

COBRA (for about 30 to 40sec)

Right afterwards i drank about 2 glass of water (note: this is exercise not yoga, that’s why i could drink water immediately after the section), immediately after that i had my shower.

I had oat and toast for breakfast today, right after all that i was sure i was ready for the rest of the day and not to forget spending personal time just to chill and reflect on things going on with me.

DAY FIVE OF MY DAILY ROUTINE

Hyyy people

Wow!!!! I had a really busy day today, I plan on going to bed right after I’m done with this blog and fulfill my promise on making sure to update you all everyday on the progress I make.

I was up from bed on a decent time in the morning, I had to do a couple of chores which took longer then excepted, today I tried speeding things up a little because it felt like time was moving too fast and I really wanted to get the things I was doing at home done real fast before I went to go make me hair.

Right after I was done with my chores, I was ready to begin with my usual exercises.

As I mentioned today I wouldn’t be doing yoga instead I’ll be Exercising today,and below are the workouts practiced earlier today:

GLUTE BRIDGE

SQUAT (15 to 20 times atlist

LUNGES

PLANK (different from one of the usuals😌)

ABDOMEN CRUNCHES

MOUNTAIN CLIMBERS

Today I tried speed things up a bit since I was trying to meet up with time so I maintained positions for 30sec

After I was done working out I drank alott of water hit the shower had breakfast after that, then I was out to go get my hair done which took really really long because they where alott of people in the salon, so I waited for my turn meanwhile before then I occupied my self by listening to music and at the same time getting work done #iworkonline so it could be done with my phone or laptop, and I also read a book online.

DAY 4 OF MY DAILY ROUTINE (yoga free)

It’s been great during the past few days, since i decided to follow this new healthy path,i hope that i’ve not only been of help to myself but to my viewers around and far away.

i’m gonna make today really brief nothing too long.

I decided on taking a break today no exercise, yoga or anything that has to do with working my body. The body deserves a day to take a break and reset itself since i’ve been going three days straight doing some really effective yoga practice if you’ve also been following up with me GREAT JOB and i also recommend you take a break.

Tomorrow i’ll be doing something different from yoga, i honestly love switching up things a little every now and then to keep things more intresting.

So stay tunned for my next episode on this and find out what new exercises i plan on doing next, i guarantee you it could come in handy 😉

DAY THREE OF MY DAILY HEALTHY ROUTINE

IT’S A NEW DAY😅

Hy Beautiful people, how was your day?

I hope it was delightful.Today was quite nice, i was up by 8am, did my usual morning routine. Right afterwards i began with my daily yoga practice to get me feeling more prepared for the rest of the day, but before i get there i will be stating some tips.

Today i won’t just be talking about yoga time management and relaxation, lets get on a new train on something i have not actually been more percific on in my previous post and that would be on how to maintain a HEALTHY DIET now lets begin

One of the most important thing would be your water consumption, drinking water dosent just help prevent dehydration but also helps in suppressing your appetite,boost your mentabolism, and make exercise easier and more efficient, all of which could contribute toa good result on the scale. So make sure you have plenty of water.

And make sure not to skip breakfast this is a really important meal of the day and should not be neglected.

One of my biggest challenge while going through this path was cutting some of my favourite meals, but it honestly was not really necessary to do that you can also eat the food you love eating and at the same time loose weight or stay healthy, it is just a matter of reducing the amount consumed daily, eating more fruits, vegetables and drinking lots of water which very important along side exercising or engaging in yoga practice any you find more convinent for you between those two, but again if you want a snappy result doing with weight lost i will recommend you go on a protein diet trust me when i say if your goal is to loose as much weight as you can in a month and at the same time have just the right amout of your favourite snack daily you can achieve that in a month with a protein diet along side exercising or weight loss yoga practice. I strongly believe without a good diet plan, exercising is as good as useless both go along side to give a good result.

you can be rest assured if you follow up with me that every yoga practice done so far has been selectively picked to make sure you archive more than one goal.

Before i begin note that you shouldn’t drink water during the yoga practice, but right after a glass or two of water should be enough to help you recover and keep your muscles from tightening or cramping

Today yoga practice includes:

PLANK

STANDING FORWAR LUNGE ( this may be considered really difficult at first but it is totally fine if you can not go all the way down just go as far as you can )

COBRA

STANDING LUNGE (i did this for both angles for atlist 40 sec each)

A BEND AND STRETCH PLAN ( u can go as far as you can it’s still ok but make sure you maintain position for atlist 40 sec)

COBBLE’S POSE

MEDITATION ( i did thsi for about 60sec just siting in that position inhaling and exhaling, it turned out to be really relaxing i’ll consisder doing this pose at the end of every practice)

Ok that’s that for today i hope you felt as refreshed as i felt right after this section.

Right after i was done i had a glass of water hit the shower and applied my skin care product.

Today for Breakfast i had BEANS to go with FRIED PLANTAIN containing just enough nutrient to start the day with

I was in a really good mood toady so i decided on making a new Dance video on tiktok after such a long time i practiced about two new dance trend, git it on video and posted it, just incase you might want to take a look i’ll drop the link before i go.

The remaining hours where pretty much spent on work and studying, and later in the evening my mum bought BARBECUE which was really lovely i had that for dinner, that reminds me one thing you should not do is eat a heavy meal for Dinner it’s not healthy to do that make sure you go for lighter meals for dinner and don’t eat too much ones it’s pass 6am to enable your food to digest and don’t forget to drink lots of water.

DAY TWO OF MY ROUTINE CHANGE

HAPPY NEW MONTH MY WONDERFUL READERS WELCOME TO THE NEW MONTH OF MAY I HOPE THIS MONTH IS SUPER FOR YOU ALL

AND HAPPY SUNDAY TO YOU ALL I HOPE YOU HAD A WONDERFUL HEALTHY DAY 😉

Today will be making it the second day of my jorney into a more healthy routine.

I was up more early than usual today because i had to go to church and i was attending the morning service which is from 7am to 9:30am, so i was up by 5am had my shower and got set for church it was a really stormy day it rained really heavily and it’s sometime discouraging to go out when its raining heavily but i still had to tho.

Finally ariving in church just in time with my mum dad and siblings, took my sit for the service then i started feeling really exhausted just a few hours into the service, O i did not mention about not geting enough sleep last night because i was busy working on something. I was only able to get about 4hrs sleep which was really bad,so i didnt actually start up the day well but i was able to stay up till the service ended.

Ariving home and immediately getting my chores done and a little preparation in the kitchen, honestly was not feeling sleepy anymore after all that so i decided to do my usual daily yoga practice

note:

MAINTAIN ALL POSITION FOR ATLIST 40 TO 60SEC BUT IF YOU FIND THIS DIFFICULT FOR STARTERS STILL TRYING TO FOLLOW UP YOU CAN GO FOR 20 TO 30SEC, YOU CAN INCREASE THE TIMING ALONG THE LINE

And today yoga practice done includes:

  • BOW POSE
  • BRIDGE POSE
  • DOWNWARD DOG POSE
  • TRIANGLE POSE (i did this for both angles for about 40sec)
  • PLANK POSE
  • TWISTED CHAIR POSE ( i did this for both angles for atlist 40sec each)
  • WARRIOR POSE ( i did this for both angles for atlist 40sec)

Afterwards i had a glass of water and a brief shower to feel refresh after the few minutes of yoga.

Then afterwards i prepared myself a nice breverage which i had to go with avacado toaste

Afterwards i just went through my site and some of my socials like instagram and whatsapp for a couple of minute right afterwards got in bed and took a nice nap or u can say sleep because i’m sure it was pretty long lol, it was still really cloudy and cold so it made it even more lovely (i dont know if i’m the only one who loves it that way but yhhhhhhhh!!!!!!), i think that was the strawberry i needed untop just to help me feel ready for the rest of the day.

Something you should never deprive your body from is sleep

I woke up feeling really lovely to be honest

I think today turn around proved one thing that even if the day was started up stressful you can always abjust some little time to keep in check. If you where in my shoes and you felt sleepy immediatly you got back home just in time you can take a nap just before doing any of those because SLEEP is one important aspect in life i must say:)

The rest of the day was practically spent doing less work reading a book just chilling to be honest like it’s a sunday enjoy yourself

Before i forget to mention, waking up this morning i was actually expecting to feel some joint pain due to the fact that i haven’t worked out in a while, but to my greatest surprise it was not the feeling i expected at all i only felt a slight pull in my abdomen which was just for a couple of hrs after i woke up and i was back to normal. But i also think thats due to the fact that i’ve done this for a couple of times even tho not so consistent.

But if you tried the previous yoga practice on my previous post or this recent one and wake up feeling pains just know it’s perfectly normal for beginners and your body will abjust if you are consistent for about 4 days so nothing to worry about.

DAY ONE OF MY ROUTINE CHANGE

A STEP FORWARD

It’s DAY ONE of my routine change, and as I promise i will be taking you all along on this

I got up from bed pretty early, it was about 6am feeling all good to be honest woke at the good side you can say. Spotting my mum in the kitchen having a glass of water, it’s Pre usual of her waking up early she normally does that. That’s enough with the not so important details so let’s get to the important part

Firstly i had to do my morning chores like clean up my room and sweep the living room afterwards I went outside for a brief stroll just a couple of step and I was back home afterwards, then I checked online for a healthy 5min yoga obviously for beginners I’m not so flexible 😂😂

Below where the results I found

* Child Pose

* Cat Cow

* Cobra

* and Chair

It was instructed to maintain each position for atlist 60sec

And I did some other exercises just to go with it

I felt surprisingly delightful afterwards to be honest, I guess I shouldn’t have quit working out in the first place

Immediately after I caught my breath for a few sec I had a glass of water. Don’t forget hydrating is very important

Secondly i had a cool shower and applied my skin care product

Had a yummy breakfast

And the rest of my day was spent learning more on how to start up a podcast online classes watching this series I’ve been following up work relaxing and having yummy meals haha literally my best part of the day😅

And I must say I feel much better then yesterday I wonder what tomorrow got installed for me and I’ll make sure to keep you updated because SUNDAYS are usually busy for me

ROUTINE CHANGE

This day got me thinking about alott of things, not just today the past few days to be honest.

Been feeling slightly troubled about something i can’t rap my hand around, that feeling like i’m not doing something right or i’ve probably been neglecting important things involving daily development or u can say a healthy routine for self improvement.

So i decided to do more of that and see how it goes, by changing my routine making a little adjustment and doing things i used to do but i sadly stopped because of school and laziness 😀 like working out that’s totally on me lol .

And engaging more in productive activities to make me feel useful and also earn some extra cash been doing that but i didn’t actually take it seriously, wow i have a long way to go 😦

I even quit blogging for a while and that’s something i enjoyed doing.

So i’ve made up my mind that i will engage more on healthy routines while i’m free at the moment and see how it goes before i’m back in school again, and at the same time document about it here on if i’m making progress or not.

The DAILY HEALTHY ROUTINE may include:

TAKING CARE OF MY BODY : ENGAGING IN MORNING BODY BUILING EXERCISES/YOGA (to help feel healthy and that my body is being taken care of),

HYDRATING (this is one very important aspect),

NOURISHING MY BODY WITH GOOD FOOD AND NEVER RETRICTING (i’ve been told alott that good food does wonders, that’s something i,m sure we can all agree with),

SPENDING TIME TO CLEAR MY MIND AND TO REFLECT,

LOOKING GOOD (this leads to feeling good do whatever makes me feel comfortable in my own skin even more like building up my self confidence),

SELF DEVELOPMENT ( doing something everyday that moves me to be a better version of me like read a book develop some skill reflect more on my passion look for encouraging things to make me do better),

and lastly

BE PRODUCTIVE.

That’s all i can think of right now maybe along the line i’ll think of more
